Kavalan leva o prêmio de melhor Single Malt do Mundo no World Whiskies Awards

Pelo segundo ano consecutivo, um whisky do "mundo" tem tido honras como o "Melhor Single Malt do mundo" no World Whiskies Awards, premiação anual realizada pela revista especializada Whisky Magazine.  O Single Malt Kavalan Solist Vinho Barrique da King Car Distillery em Taiwan foi escolhido o melhor entre single malts da Escócia e ao redor do mundo em julgamento às cegas. No ano passado, Sullivan’s Cove French Oak da Austrália levou o prêmio, e repetiu pelo terceiro ano consecutivo como o melhor single malt australiano.

Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye foi eleito o melhor whiskey americano do mundo, derrotando Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 20 Anos e outros whiskeys americanos anunciados como vencedores no último Whiskies & Spirits Conference, realizado no mês passado em Nova York. That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s Batch #1 Blended Scotch Whisky foi nomeado o Melhor Blended Whisky do mundo, enquanto o Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt 17 Anos foi nomeado o Melhor Blended Malt do mundo.
